Botanica 2019: The Art and Science of Plants
Co-sponsored by BASNCR and the Brookside Gardens School of Botanical Art & Illustration (BGSBAI)
Applications are accepted from students and instructors of BGSBAI, and members of BASNCR.
Exhibit Dates: June 22 - July 19, 2019
Installation is from 8:00-11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22; and take-down is from 9:00-9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 20.
The opening reception will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 23.
Location: Brookside Gardens Visitor Center, Wheaton, Maryland
Art Submission Deadline: April 26, 2019.
Submission Form
There is no fee to apply. Applicants may submit up to four paintings and four items for bin work. Entries will be reviewed by a committee and applicants will be notified by Friday, May 24.
Please email images corresponding to the entries above, to Please name files using this format: last name, entry number, and plant name; for example: Smith1Magnolia, Smith2Tulip, etc.

Ancarrow’s List: Native Plants by the River’s Edge

Open to members of BASNCR, Central Virginia Botanical Artists (CVABA), and North Carolina Botanical Artists’ Circle (NCBAC).
Exhibit Dates: October 1–31, 2019 (first venue)
Location: Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden, Richmond, Virginia
