Flora of the National Parks Exhibit at the U.S. Botanic Garden

The exhibit celebrating flora of the National Parks has opened and continues through October 2,  2016.

Congratulations to five BASNCR artists whose works were selected for this exhibit:

Joseph Bailey

– arctic gentian, Gentiana algida, Denali National Park, Alaska

Judy Brown

– chocolate lily, Fritillaria camschatcensis, Denali National Park, Alaska

Karen Coleman

– birdfoot violet, Viola pedata, C&O Canal

– common persimmon, Diospyros virginiana, Antietum National Battlefield

Margaret (Betsy) Farr

– collection: Virginia creeper, common persimmon, black walnut, flowering dogwood, eastern red cedar, horse brier, white oak, pignut hickory; Parthenocissus quinquefolio, Diospyros virginiana, Juglans nigra, Cornus florida, Juniperus virginiana, Smilax rotunifolio, Quercus alba, Carya glabro, Manassas National Battlefield
