Two of Elizabeth Whiteley’s silverpoint drawings were selected to appear in “Plant Cure”, an exhibition at Central Booking Gallery in New York City. The exhibit runs to October 29. The drawings are from her recent series which uses plants as subjectsfor exploration of frieze group symmetries. The plants in the drawings, Datura metel and Gingko biloba, have medicinal uses.
Copies of Elizabeth’s artist’s book, “Deck of Cards”, have been acquired by the Brooklyn Museum of Art, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Tate Britain. And, another of her artist’s books, “Transformations”, is now in the National Gallery of Art.
