“Art and Nature” – April 10th at the United States Botanic Garden

Accomplished nature artist and BASNCR member Tina Thieme Brown will share sketches, art tips, stories and finished artwork from her hikes and camping adventures – from the rainforests of Costa Rica to Sugarloaf Mountain and beyond.

Tina’s Morningstar Studio is located in the Agricultural Reserve in Montgomery County, MD.  Tina illustrated and co-authored “An Illustrated Guide to Eastern Woodland Wildflowers and Trees: 350 Plants Observed at Sugarloaf Mountain, Maryland” and created the Illustrated Map of Montgomery County’s Agricultural Reserve.

This program is a public program sponsored by the Botanical Art Society of the National Capital Region. It begins at 1:30 pm on April 10th in the conservatory classroom. USBG guests should register through the USBG site. usbg.gov
