Join us Wednesday, August 18th , 11:00am for a tour of the Losing Paradise exhibit at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. We'll meet at the information desk on the Constitution Ave entrance, if you show up a little late just come join us at the exhibit.  Two of our members, Karen Coleman and Alice Tangerini are exhibiting artists.

Pack up your sketchbook, paints and camera for a trip to Black Ankle Vineyards in Mt. Airy, Maryland on  Friday, September 10th, 10:30.  The grape harvest will just have started so there will be plenty of grapes on the vine to sketch. We can also tour the facilities and they offer a wine tasting for a small fee.  Pack a lunch and enjoy the scenery.  You can visit the vineyard’s website at www.blackankle.com.

Need a little getaway?  BASNCR member Linda Miller will be teaching a Botanical Illustration workshop on September 21-23, at the Elizabethan Gardens in Manteo, North Carolina.  For more information, visit http://lindacmiller.blogspot.com.
